ABOUT ME & MY SOUND

With New York roots and an ear toward Boom-Bap soundscapes, I think of Hip Hop as a sport, and the job of producer is to help an MC win. If the lyrics are on point, the production should be showcasing the MC, not competing with them for the spotlight. I have no interest in working with an MC who doesn't have word-play. No offense to anyone whatsoever, but my tracks work best with someone who can flow. I'm not interested in 'leasing' the same beats to multiple people. If you dig a track, and you're a real MC, let's build on what is fair, and lets work. 

 

HISTORY

I was born in 1971 and came of age breaking to the Jimmy Castor Bunch and doing graffiti in the early 80s. My life has revolved around Hip Hop since my early musical beginnings.  From the proverbial pause tapes to toy samplers & programming my first drum machine (BOSS DR110).

My sound design has appeared on releases by; Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Eminem, 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Styles P, Jay-Z, Fat Joe, John Legend, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Busta Rhymes and many, many more.
